Beta 1 of iOS 12.4 & macOS 10.14.6 Released for Testing
Apple has released the first beta version of iOS 12.4 and macOS Mojave 10.14.6 to users enrolled in the eligible beta testing programs.
The release of iOS 12.4 beta 1 and macOS 10.14.6 beta 1 comes just a day after the wide public release of the iOS 12.3 update for iPhone and iPad users, and macOS 10.14.5 update for Mac users.
It’s not yet clear what iOS 12.4 beta or the macOS Mojave 10.14.6 beta focuses on, but presumably the updates will include various bug fixes and enhancements, perhaps alongside minor feature additions.
The developer betas are available now, and typically public betas of the same build become available soon after.
iPhone and iPad users enrolled in the iOS beta testing program can find the iOS 12.4 beta 1 update available now from the Software Update mechanism of the Settings app.
Mac users participating in the Mac beta testing program will find the MacOS 10.14.6 beta 1 update available from the Software Update preference panel.
Additionally, tvOS 12.4 beta 1 and watchOS 5.3 beta 1 are available for users who are beta testing Apple TV and Apple Watch software.
The current final stable builds of Apple system software are iOS 12.3 for iPhone and iPad, macOS Mojave 10.14.5 for Mac, tvOS 12.3 for Apple TV, and watchOS 5.2.1 for Apple Watch.
Hoping Apple fix the Bootcamp issues. Purchased a new imac 2019 21.5″ i5 processor which was 10.14.4, store said it was safe to put 10.14.5 update on to it, yet I’ve never been able to partition the fusion drive inside my mac. Using Bootcamp the partition part gets stuck exactly half way through. Spent a week and countless hours phoning technical, tried alsorts eg. File vault turned off, checking drive for errors (none there), typing things into the terminal etc under recovery mode, but nothing has worked :( I feel totally conned, rang Apple prior to purchase and also told by authorised Apple dealer where I purchased it was easy to install Windows 10 pro under Bootcamp but is it heck. So much for Apple stating on their site update to latest version of Mojave for Bootcamp to work, load of rubbish as it does not! Come on apple get your act together, before bringing out new features, fix the errors and faults first.
Downloaded and installed developer seed profile for macOS Mojave 10.14.6 beta from macOS Mojave 10.14.6 beta
Now 10.14.5 does still not show the 10.14.6 dev beta.
This entire system is quite stupid. I wish apple would simply offer proper downloads instead of forcing developers to use their buggy non working profile system.
Need to test some rdar bugs in 10.14.6 but can’t. This is costing me precious time. Not happy.
Easy solution is don’t use the beta software builds… use the stable builds.
Kinda wishing you guys could clarify sometimes if it’s a dev or public beta release, because right now it seems to be dev.
The dev beta comes out first and is usually followed by the public beta within a short amount of time, sometimes less than an hour.
