I use the ” show emoji and symbols ” function on this iMac to access Sanskrit / devanagari alphabet. This is easier than using the keyboard as characters are arranged like the usual alphabet layout. Characters are selected by double clicking. This is much easier than using the mac keyboard ; trying to remember where the sanskrit characters are and using supplementary keystrokes.

Can this be done on iPad ?
