How to Delete Focus Modes on iPhone & iPad
The Focus Modes feature arrives with a few default Focus’s that include things like Work, Driving, Sleep, and of course users can add their own for anything under the sun. If you don’t want to have a bunch of Focus modes available, either because you’re accidentally enabling them, can’t figure out how to turn them off easily, or you just don’t use them, you can delete Focus Modes on iPhone or iPad rather easily.
Let’s learn how to delete Focus modes from iPhone or iPad. You can delete any and all of them, except for the primary Do Not Disturb mode.
How to Remove a Focus from iPhone & iPad
Deleting Focus mode states is really simple, here’s what you need to do:
- Open the “Settings” app on iPhone or iPad
- Go to “Focus”
- Tap the Focus you want to delete
- Scroll down to the very bottom of the Focus screen and tap “Delete Focus”
- Tap to confirm you want to remove the Focus and delete it
By deleting a Focus you will no longer have access to enable it or use it, but you can always add one again or create a new one if you wish to use Focus Modes of that sort again.
If you delete all the Focus modes, you’ll be left with just good old Do Not Disturb mode, which is much more simple and less over-engineered than having a dozen Focus modes for everything from brushing your teeth to driving.
