Beta system software is much buggier and less stable than final versions of system software, so if you’re a casual user that is interested in running iPadOS 17 beta, it’d be better to do so on a secondary device, or a device that is not mission critical. You can expect apps to crash, battery life to be worse, and other quirky behaviors that are typical with beta system software.
The final version of iPadOS 17 for iPad will be released to all users this fall as a free software update.
Aside from new iPadOS beta, new beta releases are also available for iOS 17, MacOS Sonoma, tvOS, and watchOS.
