iOS 17.5 & iPadOS 17.5 Updates Released with Bug Fixes

iOS 17.5 for iPhone, and iPadOS 17.5 for iPad, have been released by Apple. The new software updates are available with bug fixes, security enhancements, enhancements to Apple News, and a new Pride Radiance wallpaper from Apple to celebrate the LGBTQIA2S++ communities for Pride month.

Separately, updates are also available for watchOS 10.5, tvOS 17.5, iOS 16.7.8 and iPadOS 16.7.8 for older iPhone and iPad models, macOS Sonoma 14.5, macOS Ventura 13.6.7, and macOS Monterey 12.7.5.

How to Download & Install iOS 17.5 / iPadOS 17.5 Update

You will want to backup iPhone or iPad to iCloud or to your computer so that you can preserve your data before starting a system update.

1. Open the “Settings” app on your iPhone or iPad
2. Go to “General”
3. Choose “Software Update”
4. Choose to “Update Now” to download and install iOS 17.5 / iPadOS 17.5 update

The iPhone or iPad must restart to finish installation.

You can also update your device via a computer and USB connection. If you want to update multiple devices, or who want to install updates manually, another option is to use IPSW firmware files.

What’s new in iOS 17.5?

iOS 17.5 and iPadOS 17.5 include bug fixes and security updates, but also a few new game features that are interesting to subscribers to the Apple News+ service along with an offline mode, as well as a new themed wallpaper.
