How to Change Subtitle Font Size on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV

Changing the text size for subtitles on your iPhone and iPad is a fairly simple and straightforward procedure. Although we’ll be focusing on iOS devices, you can follow the same steps to customize subtitles on your Apple TV as well. Simply follow the steps below to get started.
- Open “Settings” from the home screen of your iPhone and iPad.
- In the Settings menu, scroll down and tap on “Accessibility”
- Next, scroll down and choose “Subtitles & Captioning” located under the Hearing category, as shown below.
- Now, tap on “Style” to customize how your subtitles look.
- In the Style menu, choose “Create New Style”, as shown in the screenshot below.
- Now, tap on “Size” located under the Text section.
- As you can see here, there are multiple size options that you can choose from, with “Extra Large” being the largest text size available. Additionally, you’ll need to disable “Video Override”. Some videos specify the size of the subtitle texts. By disabling this override, you can use the size you selected.
