MacOS Sonoma 14.7.3 & MacOS Ventura 13.7.3 with Security Updates Available

Apple has issued macOS Sonoma 14.7.3 along with macOS Ventura 13.7.3 for Mac users who are continuing to run those operating systems. These are security focused updates that are concurrent with the freshly released MacOS Sequoia 15.3 update for those running Sequoia, and are not expected to include any features or notable changes.

Safari 18.3 is also included as a software update for MacOS Ventura and MacOS Sonoma.

If your Mac is running Sequoia, you will see the 15.3 update available instead, and these updates for Sonoma or Ventura will not be available to you.

Separate from the Mac, just about every other Apple device has received a software update as well, including iOS 18.3, iPadOS 18.3, tvOS 18.3, watchOS 11.3, and visionOS 2.3.

How to Download & Install MacOS Sonoma 14.7.3 Update or MacOS Ventura 13.7.3

Always backup the Mac with Time Machine before starting any software update:

1. From the Apple  menu go to “System Settings”
2. Select “General” and then select “Software Update”
3. If you see the MacOS Sequoia banner look below that for the small “Also available” section and then click the microscopic text button “More Info…”
4. Check that MacOS Sonoma 14.7.3 or MacOS Ventura 13.7.3 is selected, along with Safari 18.3, and then choose “Update Now”

You will have to restart the Mac to finish installation, as usual.
