iOS 18.4.1 and iPadOS 18.4.1 updates

Apple has released iOS 18.4.1 update for iPhone, along with iPadOS 18.4.1 for iPad. The software updates include a few bug fixes and important security patches, making them recommended to update.

Additionally, iOS 18.4.1 includes a bug fix for a particular issue with CarPlay not connecting properly in some situations. If you have been experiencing problems with CarPlay and your iPhone, this update just may resolve that issue.

Separately, you’ll find MacOS Sequoia 15.4.1 update available for Mac, along with updates to watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS.

How to Download & Install iOS 18.4.1 / iPadOS 18.4.1 Update

You will want to backup your iPhone/iPad to iCloud or a computer before beginning the software update.

  1. Open “Settings” app on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Go to “General”, and then select “Software Update”
