OS X 10.11.2 Beta 1 Available for Testing on Macs
Apple has released the first beta version of OS X El Capitan 10.11.2 for Mac users participating in the developer and public beta software testing programs. The first pre-release build of OS X 10.11.2 arrives as 15C27e and appears to focus primarily on improvements and bug fixes to OS X El Capitan.
Mac users who are enrolled in the Apple developer program will find the beta build available now from the Mac Developer Center website for testing here via the Seed Configuration Utility. Future updates will arrive from the Mac App store as usual.
Mac users in the public beta will find the build available as well, as typically Apple rolls out the beta builds to developers soon followed by the public beta. Anyone can choose to participate in the public beta programs, but running beta software is typically advised for advanced users only, or those with a secondary Mac. Beta software is notoriously buggy and more problematic than final release builds.
Separately, Apple has also released iOS 9.2 beta 1 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, which also
The most recently available stable build of OS X El Capitan is currently OS X 10.11.1, which was released on the 21st of October.
OS X 10.11.2 is NOT available for Public Beta Software Testing yet. It’s registered developers ONLY at this point in time. Please someone prove me wrong!
Hello I donwload the update but now all my emails despair and i have always a welcome window to setup email accounts, import mailboxes and preferences never open.
Any idea?
Thanks very much.
It’s a beta version, you must expect buggy behavior when running beta software. The new beta is available now, so update to the newest beta and see if that helps. Otherwise avoid the beta OS X releases, they are always very buggy.
I like El Cap so far – no major issues except when using multiple monitors, the OS fails to span anything without one side being cut off.
Have you tried: Mission Control Prefs: uncheck Displays have separate spaces.
Sure would be nice if split screen mode worked as it’s supposed to on ALL Macs running El Crapitan not just some.
Perhaps this will fix the issue of browser windows opening in the secondary window of Macs with multiple screens too.
noway, Try Spectacle, I’ve been using it for over a year; no problems. Works on El Capitain and does much more than just split screen all from your keyboard.
It has a 5star rating on macupdate and is free.

Hope this helps.
Does it fix the finder bug where finder opens the last folder open when it is closed instead of the folder set in the preferences???
There are many KEXT problems with El Capitan I hope Apple will fix the problem with the next upgrade.
I have seen many ”can not boot up a second time after installation of the El Capitan OSX” problems on the Apple support Forum. They do something on this
Yes, there continues to be a lot of issues at the official site. How’s a person to know when to upgrade? I will wait for the .2 update.
The roof of my house fell in after I installed El Capitain. I did a clean install too. I have to live in an apartment while the damages are fixed. I’m really disappointed in Apple these days.
WHY CAN WE NOT SHARE A PDF IN PAGES VIA EMAIL AS IN THE PAST?
Is your CAPS LOCK KEY STUCK?
My late 2009 I Mac doesn’t boot up anymore after installation Of El Capitan
Unplug everthing USB, then reboot. worked for my ’07 w/ same issue
Naming groups in Contacts is still a weak point. I have to repeat naming several times before it “bites”.
No features and no notable bugs I guess
I must be one of the lucky ones who have absolutely no issues with 10.11.1.
OS X 10.11.1 works well for me too, overall El Capitan is a much more stable experience than Yosemite was.
Maybe they can allow is to completely make gamecenter go away for good, and stop signing us back into iMessage (without asking) when we update the os.
I hope 10.11.2 fixes everything
What exactly? Everything is working just fine for me :-)
Mostly here as well. I did have to reinstall TeX, though, because under El Capitan, you can’t change any files in the /usr directory, even if you’re root.
There are still a ton of annoying VoiceOver issues (despite the supposed improvements in the previous release). I am hoping against hope that some of these issues have been fixed. Some of them are real productivity killers. :(
