Users can also choose to download individual package installers and either use a combo update for MacOS or a standard update. The combo update allows a Mac to be updated from an earlier version of Mojave, for example to jump directly from 10.14.3 to 10.14.6, whereas the standard version must be installed on the preceding release.
- MacOS Mojave 10.14.6 Combo Update
- MacOS Mojave 10.14.6 Standard Update
- Security Update 2019-004 High Sierra (for MacOS High Sierra)
- Security Update 2019-004 Sierra (for MacOS Sierra)

Just installed Mojave 10.14.06 and nothing but crashes since. Is there a way to roll that upgrade back? Or is my Mac morphing into MS Windows?
iCloud drive not working any more after update 10.14.6, great job Apple……
I have also issue with iCloud!!
When I start the system iCloud folder is populated but after a wile all the folders disappear!
To have them back I must restart the Mac!
After installing 10.14.6 update on an MBA with Intel HD Graphics 6000 I have the problem that when I quit an SDL 1.2 application that was in full screen mode (window mode is not affected) before the whole WindowServer crashed and I need to login again as if I had rebooted the system. It happens with all SDL 1.2 applications I tested so far (e.g. DOS-Box or Super DX-Ball).
Someone else have this problem too?
Here are parts of the crash report. It seams the mapping of OpenGL commands, that SDL is using, to the Metal commands, that CoreDisplay is using, is wrong. Mabe this only happens when using CoreDisplay with the Intel Driver?

What happened to this update? The App Store on my late 2013 iMac does not show any updates, currently at 10.14.5.
Was on run 10.14.5 on Late 2017 MBP (touch bar). Updated to 10.14.6 via “Software Update” preference panel. Now boot time went from ~20 sec to 3-4 minutes. Tried:
* SMC/NVRM reset
* boot safe mode
* Disk Utility repair desk
* changing startup disk (Bootcamp) and back to macOS
Still very long boot time (3-4 minutes)
When booting into Bootcamp, boot time is very fast 10-15 seconds. However, Touch Bar and camera no longer work in Windows 10. Also get error in windows saying “An error has occurred, Reboot”.
Final note. If I boot into safe mode, boot time is around ~20 seconds.
Second final note: Looked at logs and seems there is problem with “EmbeddedOSInstaller”
This has has rendered my external monitor useless seriously is a issue.
If you are using a DisplayLink dock, get rid of it.
The update won’t install for me. I’m currently running 10.14.4, it’s proposing me update, the update “installs” and once it reboots it’s still at 10.14.4. No error messages or anything similar in the process.
You might try using the Combo Update package installer instead, which will update directly from 10.14.4 to 10.14.6. The Combo Update can be downloaded directly from Apple by following the links in the article or at the link below.
Be sure to back up your Mac first!

Has anyone had problems installing macOS 10.14.6 mojave yet? Any major issues or bugs?
I’m going to try this update later, see how it goes.
I wonder, this may be the last release of Mojave, since Catalina is in production. Catalina is SO buggy though I won’t install that anytime soon so I think it’s probably wise to update to the latest Mojave and sit on that for quite a while. Plus Mojave still runs 32 bit apps, Catalina does not.
Having updated I can no longer watch Netflix or Amazon videos – just get a green screen Grrrrr!
I would recommend no on the install as the install took forever and required several restarts…
Also on startup takes forever and the computer freezes several times.
I click on the “pkg” and go through the process. I end up with an alert:
“The installation failed. Could not prepare macOS 10.14.6 Update for installation. Try installing from a different copy of the item or contact the manufacturer for assistance”
Help?
WTF APPLE = I’m forced to download Mojave 10.14.6 from a torrent site because Apple won’t let me download the “FULL” Mojave installer…
Tim Cook’s head needs to roll, the hardware quality has gone downhill (never mind the soldering fetish Tim’s on) and the recent software is reminiscent of Windows 95. Never have I had so many issues with Apple products and software issues that have me pulling out my hair… Swear to God, Mac OS 9 was better built than what Apple releases nowadays!
What is your issue exactly? If you aren’t running macOS Mojave yet then yes you need to install macOSMojave before you can update macOOS Mojave 10.14.6. You can get the combo update if you want to install from an earlier Mojave build.
Hi Liam, would you care to share why you saying so many stupidities all at the same time, just wonder
Follow the link in the article to download MacOS Mojave 10.14.6 combo update. You can use the combo update over any prior Mojave installer to update it to the latest version (10.14.6).
I would not recommend downloading any system software package from a torrent site, if you’re going to do that make sure you can verify the hash as valid and not tampered with.
I’m trying to download the ‘full’ 6GB final version of Mojave for a clean install/USB installer & archival purposes. Had to resort to ‘dosdude1’ to get the full version, Apple only allowed the 22mb stub file which is useless if your offline or wish to make a bootable USB or copy the installer to other macs.
Further, wasted a full day because Apple’s Security Update 004 for High Sierra brakes MBPs = I was surprised at how many people had the same nasty experience of kernel panics when waking from sleep… apparently the only fix is to install Mojave.
And yes, Tim’s head needs to roll… I’ve been a mac-guy since OS7 and never have I had so many issues with hardware/software then since Tim took the helm!
Ah the 20mb stub macOS installer thing is so annoying, nobody has really figured out what causes that to download rather than the full installer… I also ran into that a year or two ago and used the dosdude trick to get the full macOS installer.
I haven’t installed 10.14.6 yet but I will soon with a Combo Update, I always wait to see user reports before installing software updates now because I really don’t like computer problems. Most people get paid to work, not to troubleshoot computers :)
I think I updated Mojave. It shut down and I had to restart
there was no other indication given.
I’d very much like to know how to update Safari now.
The macOS Mojave 10.14.6 update will include any updates to Safari.
You can check for any available system software updates in the System Preferences > Software Update control panel. Other downloaded apps are updated through the Mac App Store > Updates section, or through the app or developer if the app came from somewhere other than the App Store.
The separate Safari 12.1.2 updates, along with the separate Security Update 2019-004, are for High Sierra and Sierra only, which are older OS versions than Mojave.
Hope that helps!
As Paul said, Safari is automatically updated when you update macOS. To confirm whether you actually did update macOS, just click on the apple menu on the top left, and then on “about this Mac”. That will pop up a window where you can check the macOS version number you’re running.
Why don’t you publish others direct downloads like
Safari 12.1.2?
