See the 6 day weather forecast on iPhone in Notification Center

Want to see what the weather is going to be like for the next 6 days?

You can quickly see the weeks forecast showing conditions with high and low temperatures directly from Notification Center on iPhone, if you have iOS 5 or iOS 6 anyway.

  • From the homescreen, swipe down from the top of the screen to summon Notification Center
  • Swipe left (or right) on the current days weather widget to reveal the 6 day forecast

This can be quicker than launching the Weather app, though you won’t get the added benefit of the hourly forecast that the weather app provides.

The Notification Center weather widget defaults to showing your current location, you will have to use Weather app if you want to see others.

I used to have the weather at the top of notification center, but now it’s way lower down. Anyone any ideas how i get it to the top again?

I discovered something I did not notice before. If you go to the weather app and change the city say from New York to LA the LA weather will show on the notification pull down.

Personally I just want the weather automatically updated on the Weather app icon. I don’t want to open the app, I don’t want to use the Notification Center to see the temperature, I want conditions on the home screen via the app icon. Why won’t Apple do this?
