Access Siri on iPhone X

All new iPhone models includes Siri access, the ever helpful (and sometimes goofy) virtual assistant that can perform tons of tasks by issuing simple commands by voice. But if you’re accustomed to accessing Siri by holding down a Home button and now you have a newer iPhone without a home button, like iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhon XS, iPhone XR, XS Max, or iPhone X, you’re probably wondering how to access Siri on the iPhone which does not have a Home button at all.

Accessing Siri on iPhone X and 11 series is easy as it ever was, it’s just different because there is no Home button on the device. It turns out there are actually a few ways to access Siri on iPhone, using a button, or by using the Hey Siri voice command.

Siri with no Home button? No problem! Rather than pressing a non-existent button, to get to Siri on the iPhone 11 and iPhone X you must hold down the Power button instead.

Yes, pressing and holding down the power button now summons Siri on iPhone 11 and iPhone X, and this is likely to be how you access Siri on future iPhone and iPad models that will forgo the Home button as well. You might be wondering how this works, and it’s quite simple:

Access Siri on iPhone 11 & iPhone X by Pressing Power Button

Press and hold the Power Side button on the iPhone 11 or iPhone X, keep holding the side button until you see the “How can I help you?” Siri screen with the little Siri listening indicator at the bottom of the display, and then release the button once you see Siri on screen.

Once you see the Siri screen on iPhone 11 / XS / X, you can stop holding the Power button down. Just issue a voice command to Siri like you normally would, for example you can use these type of commands and questions:

The article eventually gets to to point, but it is obviously written by a recent hire directed to make sure that the original response directs to nothing

Please get to the point next time instead of fluffing up this article. This was very frustrating to read.

The article tells you exactly how to activate Siri on iPhone 11, XS, and XR, and it even includes a giant picture showing how to activate it, that’s pretty direct and to the point. What’s the issue?

  3. Dawn Maloney says:

Siri never gets it right! 😠She sends messages before they are complete. She doesn’t give me time to decide which location is my best option to choose. I should have to say “done Siri” before she stops recording the message. Or before she removes all of the locations giving me time to analyze which one works best for me.

I need no hands while driving!!

Siri lol, have the device listening in to you all day everyday, no thanks! Of course, all this rubbish is FCC approved, so its probably listening in anyway, but there is no way I would activate that rubbish out of choice
