That’s pretty much all there is to the procedure. From now on, you should be able to remotely connect to your Windows machine with absolute ease.

It’s important to note that AnyDesk must to be running on your computer, at least in the background to successfully establish a remote connection from your iOS device. The software makes it easy to control your computer regardless of where you are, so you don’t always have to carry around your laptop to perform minimal tasks.

AnyDesk can also be used to establish a remote desktop connection with other computers, which could help in providing technical assistance. Likewise, you can also share your iPhone or iPad’s screen to a Windows PC using the AnyDesk app. However, you can’t use it to remote control your iOS device as you’re limited to just viewing what’s displayed on the screen.

Looking for other options? If you’re not quite content with what AnyDesk has to offer, there are plenty of other remote desktop software to choose from. For example, TeamViewer can be used to establish remote desktop connections in an identical way. Microsoft Remote Desktop can be considered as a compelling alternative too.

This is obviously geared at Windows PC and iPhone, but the Mac has Remote Desktop and screen sharing capabilities as well, and you can use VNC apps to remotely access Mac from an iPhone or iPad too.

We hope you had no issues remote controlling your Windows PC with your iPhone or iPad using AnyDesk. What other remote desktop software have you tried before? How do they stack up to AnyDesk? Do share your thoughts and experience in the comments section down below.

I use Splashtop to provide remote access from my iPod Touch to both a Windows PC and a Mac and, in my opinion, leads the pack in remote access software. It works with multiple iOS platforms and can also be used between desktops and has many other features that attracted me to it.
