Pre Order the iPhone 6

Those interested in pre-ordering iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus will be able to do so from several retailers starting tonight at 12:01AM PST of Friday, September 12. Devices ordered tonight are assumed to ship and arrive at their destination on the release date of September 19.

Pre-Ordering Online

Pre-ordering online will be possible through the Apple Store, Apple Store App, AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint, each at their respective websites, beginning at 12:01AM PST.

Pre-Ordering in Person

Brick and mortar retailers will also accept pre-orders on Friday, including physical Apple Store locations, Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and RadioShack, but the exact times these stores will begin taking the iPhone 6 orders depends on when they open and your local area, if you’re going this route, you’ll probably want to call ahead to figure that out.

Wait! Trade-In Opportunities Could Mean a Free or Discounted iPhone 6

Nearly every cellular provider and retailer offering the iPhone 6 is including a variety of incentives as well, whether that’s decent trade-in values for existing iPhone models, a gift card, or both. For most of the cellular carriers, they offer the price of the entry-level iPhone 6 upgrade for a traded in iPhone, meaning around $199. To take advantage of these offers and still get your iPhone 6 on the release date, you’ll probably need to visit one of their retail locations though.

Meanwhile, Walmart is reportedly offering direct discounts on the iPhone 6, whether pre-ordered or not, starting at $179 with a contract for the iPhone 6 entry level model, and they even toss in a $15 Walmart gift card with the purchase – that’s a pretty good deal if you’re near a Walmart store.

But… iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus?

If you aren’t sure which screen size iPhone 6 to buy, this printable guide can help, but many people may want to visit an Apple Store or other retail location to see and feel both sizes in person, directly. Obviously that means you wouldn’t be able to pre-order, but considering the higher price of these iPhones, with the 64GB versions starting at $299 and $399 respectively, it may be worthwhile to wait a week or two and see which physical screen size is right for you.
