Beta 1 of iOS 14.3 & iPadOS 14.3 Available for Testing
Apple has released the first beta versions of iOS 14.3, iPadOS 14.3, watchOS 7.2, and tvOS 14.3. Both developer beta builds and a public beta version are available.
Users who are actively enrolled in the beta testing programs for iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, or tvOS, can find the new versions available to download and test on their eligible devices now.
Separately, Apple released the final version of macOS Big Sur for Mac users to download.
How to Download iOS 14.3 Beta 1 & iPadOS 14.3 Beta 1
Assuming you’re participating in the beta testing program, you’ll be eligible to download iOS 14.3 or iPadOS 14.3 beta 1. As usual, backup the device before installing any system software updates.
- Open the “Settings” app on iPhone or iPad
- Go to “General”, then go to “Software Update”
- Choose “Download and Install” for “iOS 14.3 beta 1” or “iPadOS 14.3 beta 1”
The device will reboot to complete installation.
iOS 14.3 and iPadOS 14.3 presumably focus on bug fixes and enhancements to the existing releases, but also appear to include a few minor features, changes, and updates.
Curiously, the first beta of iOS 14.3 and iPadOS 14.3 was initially released and then quickly pulled, perhaps because of server capacity and issues seen with the download of macOS Big Sur.
The most recent final stable version of system software for iPad and iPhone is currently iOS 14.2 and iPadOS 14.2.
