Jailbreak iOS 13.5 with unc0ver, Available to Download Now
Jailbreak fans may be pleased to know that a new unc0ver jailbreak is available for iPhone and iPad.
The unc0ver jailbreak supports all new iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch models with most signed iOS versions on any device, ranging from iOS 11 to the newly released iOS 13.5 and iPadOS 13.5, making it one of the more broadly encompassing jailbreaks available. And yes, that includes iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPad Pro, and basically every other modern iPhone and iPad with an eligible system software version.
Jailbreaking is considered advanced, and is therefore not recommended for the vast majority of iPhone and iPad users.
The process of jailbreaking involves bypassing security mechanisms on the device which then allow for third-party software and modifications to performed to iOS or iPadOS. This could cause the device to become unstable, not behave as expected, or be vulnerable to security issues.
Apple does not support jailbroken devices, and has previously offered many reasons not to jailbreak iPhone or iPad including the potential for unstable software experiences, security issues, or even denying repair service to jailbroken hardware.
Despite the risks, if you are interested in jailbreaking a device, you can check out the unc0ver website to download the jailbreak utility and learn how to jailbreak an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch by using a Mac or Windows PC.
Jailbreaks used to be fairly popular in the earlier days of iOS, as it once offered features that were not otherwise available – like internet tethering for example. But as Apple has added many new features to iOS and iPadOS over the years, the popularity of jailbreaking has waned, and is thus mostly relegated to advanced users, tinkerers, developers, and jailbreak enthusiast, often to perform actions like theming their devices appearance, or to install specific tweaks and customizations that are otherwise unavailable on stock iOS releases.
