MacOS Sonoma Release Candidate 2 is available for Mac users involved in the beta testing programs for macOS Sonoma system software. The RC 2 build is 23A344, and is available for both developer beta and public beta testers. It’s likely that this RC 2 build matches the final version of macOS Sonoma, which is set to be released next week on September 26 to all Mac users.
MacOS Sonoma includes a variety of new features and improvements to MacOS, including a redesigned Lock Screen, widgets on the Mac desktop to easily see things like weather reports or your calendar, a fancy moving wallpaper feature, over 100 new screen savers and wallpapers, FaceTime Video voicemail support, Safari Profiles, improvements to autocorrect, and much more.
Aside from the macOS Sonoma RC 2 build, which is technically still in the beta track, Apple device users will find other software updates with security enhancements available for macOS Ventura, macOS Monterey, along with updates for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.

Apple has released tvOS 17 for Apple TV users. The latest Apple TV software update is available to download and install now for any compatible Apple TV device.
tvOS 17 includes some great new features, including the ability to make FaceTime calls with Apple TV by using the camera on an iPhone or iPad that is running iOS 17 or iPadOS 17. Additionally, there’s a nifty Split View option that allows you to FaceTime on a split screen with a TV show or other media playing on the other side of the screen, allowing for SharePlay experiences. tvOS 17 also includes Apple Music Sing, which is a karaoke feature for Apple TV, that also can use the iPhone/iPad camera to add filters to yourself as you sing your masterpieces. tvOS 17 also includes a redesigned Control Center, and other various small features and changes.

If you’re interested in creating a bootable macOS Sonoma beta USB installer drive, out of a USB flash drive or similar disk device, you can do so easily. Many Mac users like to use bootable USB installer drives to perform clean installations of MacOS Sonoma, to update multiple Macs easily, or just to have for troubleshooting purposes, amongst myriad other reasons.
To get started, you’ll need a USB flash drive that is at least 16GB in size, and you will need the full installer of MacOS Sonoma on your Mac in the /Applications folder.
