macOS and iOS beta testing

Apple has released the sixth beta version of MacOS Mojave 10.14.4 and iOS 12.2 for users engaged in the beta testing programs for Apple system software. Both developer beta and public beta builds are available.

iPhone and iPad users enrolled in the beta testing programs can find the latest iOS 12.2 beta 6 release in the Settings app of iOS.

Mac users enrolled in the beta testing programs can find the latest MacOS Mojave 10.14.4 beta 6 release in the Software Update control panel of System Preferences.

iOS 12.2 is likely to focus on bug fixes, but also includes various small changes and adjustments to iOS. For Animoji compatible iOS devices, iOS 12.2 adds new Animoji characters including a wart hog, owl, giraffe, and shark.

MacOS 10.14.4 likely includes a variety of bug fixes, along with minor enhancements or minor features. For example, Safari includes a new ability to detect Dark Mode in MacOS and then to transition a website to a dark mode theme if the site supports it.

It’s widely assumed that the final version of iOS 12.2 and MacOS 10.14.4 will be released around March 25 at a scheduled Apple Event that is otherwise said to be focused on Apple starting a TV show service.

Later in the year, WWDC 2019 is expected to unveil iOS 13 and MacOS 10.15
