OS X Yosemite Public Beta 6 Released
Mac users who are participating in the OS X Yosemite Public Beta program will find the sixth beta release available to them as a small download.
The latest public beta build is versioned as 14A388b and arrives a few days after the most recent release of the OS X Yosemite Developer Preview, which is versioned as 14A388a and labeled as OS X Yosemite GM Candidate 3.0. This brings the most recent GM build and Beta build to the same version.
Mac users in the public beta program will find the newest version as a small delta download, weighing in around 55MB, accessible through the Updates section of the App Store. The latest build presumably focuses on bug fixes, with the accompanying brief release notes simply stating that “this update is recommended for all users.” As usual, it requires a system reboot to complete installation.
OS X Yosemite is expected to launch to the general public later in the week, alongside new retina display iMacs and an updated iPad line.
Loaded this on my late 2012 iMac and it cratered. Would not even come back on. Just a black screen after many reboots. Was lucky I had mavericks on a thumb drive to wipe and reload everything. Beta 5 was giving me major safari issues to the point I had to load chrome.

Can’t open items in emails. Items can be added to read list, but can’t be open in Safari. An URL must be drag to Sarfari.
In Dashboard opening an linked item happened, but now does not.
I’m not able to “grab” and move the iTunes window on the left side (next to the controls).
Anyone else have the same problem?
does Anyone know if the Bluetooth wil be compatable with the iPhone, on a 2011 late year model Mac book pro?
Fixed a printing issue for me.
(earlier yosemite versions would not print on our Imagerunner c5051i – it kept freezing at “hold for authentication”). Not sure if this was specifically related to the printer model or to the fact that the mac has to authenticate to a windows print server.
Running smooth on my MBP mid 2012 :)
At least they fixed my iMac2011 not waking up from sleep in this new public beta.
